The Ruby II ExDrive Kit features the new generation of eSATA hard drive enclosures using native eSATA interface for the highest possible performance up to 6Gbps. Comes with both the SATA and eSATA direct interface connectors, this allows the drive enclosure to be used an external hard drive as well as a removable drive in a drive cartridge application.   

Designed for accommodating any 2.5" SATA hard drive up to 14.5 mm height, the Ruby II ExDrive can connect to any system via eSATA,  or USB 3.0 interface. The Ruby II ExDrive is even capable of booting Operating Systems through an eSATA port on a motherboard or add-in card.

  • In the Drive Cartridge application, the Ruby drive cradle (the unit that mounts inside the drive bay) will also needs to be the 6G version in order to have reliable connection and maximum data throughput.

Large capacity (500 G) hard drive may also require more power. As a result,
