The USB specification limits the length of a cable segment to 5 metres. This USB extender over Cat 5 allows you to connect your USB peripherals up to 50 metres away with no need for additional software, drivers or external power. Just connect your existing USB peripherals and there is nothing more to do. This extender supports data transfer rates up to 12Mbps so is ideal for extending low speed USB peripherals such as keyboards, mice, speakers, printers, scanners etc. This extender is not recommended for Hi-Speed USB peripherals such as external hard disk drives, optical drives, etc.
