The Kanex C247m allows you to connect your previous generation MacBook and Mac mini to the 24-inch and 27-inch Apple LED Cinema Displays. The C247m converts a mini-DVI signal into the Mini DisplayPort signal that is used by Apple's Cinema Displays. This adapter is perfect for those who want to use the latest in Apple's display technology yet have the mini-DVI interface.
Mini-DVI users can now use the beautiful backlit-LED Cinema Displays as their main display or as their extended desktop. The C247d also features audio pass-through via the USB port resulting in a complete multimedia experience. Power is also supported via the USB port eliminating the need for a bulky external power supply.

The USB port both powers the unit and provides 2 Channel audio pass-through freeing up valuable USB slots. Power is also supported via the USB port eliminating the need for a bulky external power supply
