Convert as many as eight SATA connections into two Mini SAS connection
The Addonics family of SATA - external mini SAS converters make implementing the reliable external mini SAS cabling between system and external SATA storage easy and simple. Consists of a system version (for the host) and an enclosure version (for the external storage device), this family of connector bridges enable connecting up to four SATA hard drives from an external storage to any system via a single cable over a distance up to 3 meters with minimal signal degradation.
The system version easily adds two external mini SAS connectors (SFF-8088) to any desktop system, server or equipment via a PCI mounting bracket. With this converter, up to eight internal SATA/SATA II/SATA III ports can be set up for external SATA connection via two quick release external mini SAS cables.
The enclosure version is designed to mount easily into Addonics family of Storage Towers, Storage Rack or any storage enclosure with the standard SCSI - I (Centronic 50) connector opening. This enclosure version converts the SATA connection from eight SATA drives into two external mini SAS connector (SFF-8088).
