Full Product Description
The Kanguru Defender 3000â„¢ is the fastest, most advanced,
secure, hardware encrypted flash drive in the world. Designed to
address
the most demanding security standards, this Superspeed USB
3.0, AES 256-bit hardware
encrypted flash drive is ideal for keeping sensitive
government,
financial or corporate information highly secure.
Combining high level security with ultra-fast USB 3.0 speed
and FIPS 140-2 Level 3 certification, the Kanguru Defender 3000 is an
impressive secure flash drive. It also includes robust anti-virus and
tamper-resistant protection, as well as remote management capabilities
and TAA Compliance for the most comprehensive
security solution available in a hardware encrypted flash
drive.
Furthermore, all Kanguru Defender® USB drives are fully protected from any potential risks associated with "BadUSB".
The Defender 3000 proves unequivocally that it meets and surpasses the
most stringent federal, healthcare and financial industry security
regulations in the world.
256-bit AES Hardware Encryption (XTS Mode)
The Kanguru Defender 3000 uses FIPS validated AES 256-bit Hardware encryption
(XTS-Mode) to secure data contents stored on the USB drive. Since the
cryptographic processes are all done in hardware, there is virtually
no performance impact when transferring data, unlike the severe
performance impact when using software encryption programs. XTS-mode
also provides enhanced security when used to encrypt large blocks of
data (as in GB’s) as it eliminates certain vulnerabilities and patterns
which might be exploited in earlier symmetric key implementations. In
addition, the password matching and other security operations are all
done in the secure confines of the tamper-resistant, epoxy encapsulated
cryptographic processor. In short, your data can not be compromised.
FIPS 140-2 Certification, Level 3 (Cert # 2401)
The Kanguru Defender 3000 hardware encrypted, secure flash drive is FIPS 140-2
Certified, Level 3.
FIPS 140-2 is a joint Certification program between NIST (National Institute of Standards) in the United States, and CSE (Communications Security Establishment)
in Canada. It provides government guidelines regarding the security
evaluation for cryptographic modules. Kanguru Solutions demonstrates
that by meeting the level 3 threshold of FIPS 140-2, the Defender 3000
has strong, tamper evident protections in place to prevent unauthorized
access, attack, or brute force attempts to gain access to the
sensitive data.
SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Interface
The Kanguru Defender 3000 offers USB 3.0 technology for
lightning-fast data transfers, while also maintaining compatibility with
USB 2.0. Connecting the Defender 3000 to a USB 3.0 supported USB port
provides superior read / write speeds for quick, easy and convenient
transfer of data.
Onboard Anti-Virus
Every Kanguru Defender 3000 hardware encrypted flash
drive comes with an integrated onboard anti-virus (30-day FREE trial)(1).
Built right into the flash drive, the anti-virus consistently scans
the drive in the background, ensuring that all of your files will be
safe and protected from viruses.
Tamper Proof Design
The Kanguru Defender 3000’s casing is
protected with an epoxy compound that is water resistant and prevents
physical access to the chip. Any subversive attempt to remove the epoxy
compound destroys the flash chip, rendering it unusable and
inaccessible.
Remotely Manageable
Using Kanguru Remote Management Consoleâ„¢
(KRMC)â„¢, this robust, optional feature gives the ability for a security administrator to control an
entire fleet of Defender hardware encrypted drive(s) from anywhere
in the world. KRMC provides clients with a choice between two convenient management systems:
- Secure Cloud interface
- Self-hosted Enterprise on client's secure server
As the administrator, you can remotely wipe and/or delete
drives that
are lost or stolen, manage device configurations (passwords,
policies, and activity), ensure drives are in compliance with set
security
policies, and much more.
Self-Service Password Management
If you've ever forgotten your password, you know how
upsetting it can be to not be able to access your data. With Kanguru
Self-Service Password Management, you won't have to worry about it.
