Overview
About
Vigor2862 LTE Series is a VDSL2/ADSL2+ Router with built-in 3G/4G/LTE modem,
in addition to the DSL connection, cellular connectivity can be simply added by
inserting a SIM card. Up to 4 Internet access can be set up on Vigor2862 LTE
Series to provide high network availability. Except for being a reliable
Internet gateway, it also provides comprehensive firewall and content security
management (CSM) features to protect the local network, and it can also be a VPN
gateway for up to 32 simultaneous VPN connections, to allow secure connections
over the Internet. The Vigor2862 LTE Series comes with 3 models, Vigor2862L;
Vigor2862Ln, which has 802.11n 2.4G WLAN built-in; and Vigor2862Lac, which has
dual-band WLAN built-in and compliant with the latest Wi-Fi standard, 802.11ac
Wave 2, delivers data rate up to 1733Mbps + 300Mbps.
Comprehensive DSL Connectivity & Built-in Cellular Connectivity
The VDSL/ADSL modem built-in Vigor2862 LTE Series offers comprehensive DSL
connectivity which makes it compatible with various versions of xDSL, including
ADSL, ADSL2, ADSL2+, VDSL, and VDSL2. Vigor2862 LTE Series also automatically
detects your line type and fallback is supported. Vigor2862 LTE Series is
integrated with an LTE modem that accepts the standard size SIM cards. With just
a SIM card, you may add a wireless Internet connectivity to share the traffic
load or backup the primary link. The LTE WAN supports download speed up to 150
Mbps, upload speed up to 50 Mbps, and it works with worldwide cellular networks
including 4G and 3G, and can automatically fall back to 3G when 4G is not
available.
Except for the DSL interface, there is also a Gigabit Ethernet WAN port that
can be used for any types of connection, and a USB port for additional 3G/4G/LTE
USB modem to add more connectivity to share the traffic load or being the backup
of primary WAN links.
Flexible LAN Management
The Virtual LAN (VLAN) features allow you to separate the LAN clients into
different logical domains thus to increase the security and network efficiency.
Vigor2862 LTE Series supports 802.1Q standard and can build a Tag-based VLAN
system with an 802.1Q-support switch, Port-based VLAN is also supported that
each LAN port can be configured as a member of different VLAN and be isolated
from each other without the use of VLAN tag.
Up to 8 IP subnet can be enabled on Vigor2862 LTE Series, so each VLAN can
use different IP addressing space. Moreover, IP subnet 1 to 3 could be a subnet
larger than class C, supports up to 1022 IP addresses.
Vigor2862 LTE Series also supports LAN DNS feature, which allows you to
manage the domain name resolution on the local network, and Hotspot Portal
feature, which helps you collect the information of guest users, informing them
terms and conditions, and presenting a landing page to guest.
Secure Business Network
Vigor2862 LTE Series has implemented Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI)
Firewall, flexible filtering rules can be set up to accept or deny packets based
on source IP, destination IP, protocol, port number, or even the packet's
contents. Content Filtering by URL keyword or application can help you to
prevent time and network resource wasting on inappropriate network activities.
With an annual subscription to CYREN Web Content Filtering service, you may
also filter the websites by their categories, and set up restrictions to block
the whole categories of websites (such as Social Networking, Gambling.. etc.)
without the need to specify every site you would like to block. The CYREN
service is constantly updating the categorization, and a free 30-day trial is
included in each new router.
Vigor2862 LTE Series is also a robust VPN server which is perfect for a
company based on multiple locations or has teleworkers. The VPN is compliant
with all common industry standard protocols, and its compatible with third-party
VPN devices.
Central Management
Vigor2862 LTE Series can act as a Central Management portal for the other
Vigor devices on the network, including VigorAPs, Vigor Switches, and even Vigor
Routers. With Central Management feature, device maintenance (such as firmware
upgrading, configuration backup and restore) and monitoring can all be done from
a single portal, which is the Web User Interface of Vigor2862 LTE Series.
Vigor2862 LTE Series can manage up to 20 VigorAPs on its LAN and works as an
AP controller. Automatic Provisioning can be triggered when a VigorAP newly join
the network and this makes AP deployment faster. You may also get the client or
traffic history of all the APs from Vigor2862 LTE Series, and set up load
balancing rules for the APs.
Central Switch Management allows you to manage up to 10 Vigor Switches from
Vigor2862 LTE Series, the status of every port can be directly viewed from the
router. Vigor2862 LTE Series also supports VLAN configuration for the switches,
setting that matches the router's VLAN settings and the switch hierarchy is
automatically provided which makes the VLAN configuration easier.
