The complete, immersive viewing experience offered by the Samsung HE890U Series includes intuitive accessories that promote guest comfort and simplicity. Viewers can operate the HE890U Series through Samsungs oval-shaped SMART Control remote. The new design fits comfortably in users hands, and its circular touchpad includes a motion sensor and four direction keys for faster, easier navigation and typing.

Thanks to Samsungs UHD Picture Engine, HE890U displays can transform broadcast TV shows, movies and video on demand offered in FHD formats into ones comparable with standard UHD content. The four-step upscaling process analyses images, removes noise, improves the appearance of non-UHD video⁵ and then further refines details for true-to-life picture quality. Samsungs UHD Dimming technology optimises contrast, colour and details to deliver deep blacks, pure whites and brilliant colour. The precise dimming process divides the entire screen into individual virtual areas, intelligently analyses each area and then optimises the LED backlight for better colour, contrast and detail enhancement. As a result, viewers can enjoy a crystal-clear picture with minimized image distortion.

Samsungs HE890U displays elevate the guest experience by serving as an in-room, multi-device entertainment hub equipped with a host of customised viewing features. The displays integrated Software Access Point (Soft AP) functionality provides 40Mbps of wireless bandwidth supporting up to four compatible mobile devices within a two-metre range. Once connected, guests can transfer personal content, including music, movies and photos, from their compatible mobile devices for viewing on the larger display screen.^2,4Additionally, the HE890Us screen mirroring and Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) capabilities help ensure that compatible mobile content configures smoothly to the display without distortion or restriction.³ Guests can also clearly view TV content on their compatible mobile devices with Smart View TV-to-mobile transferability.
