***Please Note: It is required that the Unit be connected to a Port Multiplier compatible eSATA Host Controller for the System to see all drives. It is assumed that the driver for the eSATA Host Cotroller is correctly installed.***
Storage Tower (black color) integrated with ISC8P2G-S (with Snapshot) - installs up to 5 hard drives. More drives can be added by attaching additional Storage Towers, Storage Racks or other external storage via the eSATA connector on the back.
Contents: Storage Tower (black) integrated with ISC8P2G-S (with Snapshot module) iSCSI Subsystem, one 4-eSATA port bracket (AD4ESASB) and three RJ45 male - female 15" CAT6 cable (AARJ45MF15) and iSCSI rear panel (ASTBP4). Accessories include power cord, three 4P-15 pins SATA power connectors (AA4PSAPC) and user guide.
note: drive mounting brackets and external interface cables are not included.
The iSCSI Subsystem installed into the Storage Tower is the perfect balance of storage capacity and portability. With the iSCSI Subsystem installed, three 5.25" remaining drive bays on the Storage Tower are available for customization with your preferred hard drive mounting brackets, drive cartridge system, and mobile rack configurations, supporting up to a maximum of five 3.5" SATA hard drives (by installing one Disk Array 5SA) or twelve 2.5" SATA hard drives (by installing three 2.5" Disk Array 4SA). The Storage Tower features a carrying handle for ease of transportation, cooling fans, and a 220w power supply with choice of attractive black or silver construction.
External Expansion Capability
For further hard drive expansion, two SCSI-1 (Centronics 50-pin) punch outs are available for mounting the 4 eSATA ports bracket (AD4ESASB). This bracket allows one or more external drive enclosures to be attached onto one of the eight SATA ports built into the iSCSI Subsystem. For instance, a Storage Tower with Hardware Port Multiplier installed (ST5HPMES-B) with all of the drives configured as a single RAID volume can be attached onto one of the remaining SATA ports, easily upgrading the iSCSI Subsystem with the capacity of an additional five SATA hard drives.

System Requirements
- A server or workstation with a NIC (Network Interface Controller) or iSCSI HBA (Host Bus Adapter).
- CAT 5, CAT 5e, or CAT 6 network cables for web GUI IP port and iSCSI data ports. We recommend CAT 6 cables for best performance.
- Management (web GUI IP port) and iSCSI data ports network information. When using static IP, please prepare static IP addresses, subnet mask, and default gateway.
- Ethernet switch. (Gigabit LAN switches are recommended for the best performance)
