***Please Note: It is required that the Unit be connected to a Port Multiplier compatible eSATA Host Controller for the System to see all drives. It is assumed that the driver for the eSATA Host Cotroller is correctly installed.***
- Install up to fifteen 3.5" SATA hard drives of any capacity (drives not included).
- Drives are are installed onto drive trays that can be added or removed like tape cartridge from each drive bay.
- Connect to system via eSATA port (connecting cables included).
- Drives can be configured as RAID0 (Striping), RAID1 (Mirroring), RAID3, RAID5 (Parity), RAID10 (Mirrored Striped), JBOD (Concatenation), Clone Mode (N-Way Mirror) using built-in hardware RAID.
- OS independent, can be used on any system when all drives are configured as a single RAID volume.
- For Windows operating systems, configure RAID using RAID diagnostic software utility.
- For Linux and Mac operating systems, configure RAID using onboard jumpers.

Storage Tower IX (ST9) installed inside are three 5X1 HPM-XA Enclosure Version (AD5HPMSXA) and three Disk Array 5SA (AE5RCS35NSA). Included are three 3-foot eSATA cable (AAESATA100C)

All is needed is to add the hard drive of your choice to create your own powerful external RAID storage.
The RAID Tower IX is built basing on the Storage Tower platform that features nine 5.25" drive bays in a lightweight and compact chassis with a stylish and functional front bezel. Depending on the model, up to fifteen 3.5" hard drives can be installed into the RAID Tower IX. The drives can be configured as a RAID set and be connected to the computer via high speed eSATA connection or USB 2.0 (using optional USB-eSATA Adapter). Each model comes with everything needed for connecting to the computer. All is needed is to add your own hard drives and configure the RAID via either onboard jumpers or software utility depending on the target operating system.
