Benefits
Maximum Performance with Dual-band Wireless
Dual-band, as the name implies, supports two different wireless bands (2.4GHz and 5GHz). The BiPAC 7800VDPX, by adopting this state-of-the-art technology, allows for multiple demanding applications, such as streaming HD videos and multiplayer gaming simultaneously. With an integrated 802.11n Wireless Access Point, the router delivers up to 6 times the speed of an 802.11b/g network device. It supports a data rate of up to 300 Mbps and is also compatible with 802.11b/g equipment. The Wireless Protected Access (WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK) and Wireless Encryption Protocol (WEP) features enhance the level of transmission security and access control over Wireless LAN. The router also supports the Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) standard, allowing users to establish a secure wireless network by simply pushing a button. If your network requires wider coverage, the built-in Wireless Distribution System (WDS) repeater function allows you to expand your wireless network without the need for any external wires orcables.
Cost saving& “Least Cost Routing”
Making a VoIP call is extremely simple, you just need to connect your existing telephones to one or both phone ports. The BiPAC 7800VDPX complies with the most popularly adopted VoIP industrial standard, SIP protocol, ensuring interoperability with other SIP devices and major VoIP Gateways. The Gateway feature called “Least Cost Routing” offers the choice of the most economical rates offered by different ISP’s. One RJ-11 FXO port is integrated to transmit inbound and outbound calls via PSTN Fixed-line, so that users may still be able to make & receive phone calls via PSTN, while enjoying VoIP services at the same time. In addition, outgoing calls will be automatically redirected to PSTN when the Internet or VoIP service is not available. The router also supports a wider range of telephony features, such as call waiting, silence suppression, line echo cancellation, caller ID, etc.
Pathway to the Future
The 7800VDPX fully supports IPv6 (Internet Protocol Version 6), launched as the current IPv4 range is filling up, iPv6 is gradually becoming the indispensable addressing system for savvy cloud computing users. Dual stack (IPv4 and IPv6) is supported, allowing for both during the transition period.
Smooth and Responsive Net Connection
The Quality of Service (QoS) feature allows users to manage the bandwidth and prioritize data transfer effectively. It gives full control over data, ensuring best performancefor bandwidth-consuming applications such as video conferencing, and FTP sharing, even when under heavy load. The speed for inbound and outbound data passing through the router can be controlled to ensure that users do not saturate the bandwidth with their individual activities.
Experience Gigabit
The 7800VDPX has 4 built-in gigabit LAN ports and #4 can be configured as a WAN port if required. The BiPAC 7800VDPX again offers users convenience and optimal network performance, with data rate reaching 1000Mbps. There is no longer the need to suffer from weak connectivity and instead be able to enjoy your media experience.
