The VES-1608FE-57 complies with the G.993.2 and 994.1 standards to ensure interoperability with standard-compliant VDSL CPE.
Environmentally hardened with 30a profile support
The VES-1608FE-57 supports 30a profile with 100 Mbps throughput in both upstream and downstream traffics. With two Gigabit Combo ports to connect the upper layer network, the VES-1608FE-57 can support non-blocking interconnection from the subscriber ports to the network interface ports, and its environmental hardened design makes it possible for most outdoor deployment and application scenarios.
Triple Play ready
The VES-1608FE-57 supports IGMP snooping to prevent unnecessary forwarding of multicast traffic to all subscribers, and thus optimizes bandwidth utilization for multicast applications such as broadcast video. The VES-1608FE-57 also supports multicast VLAN features to distribute the source to all the VLANs that request the video stream. With built-in splitter over ISDN, VES-1608FE-57 allows operators to provide triple-play services over the same copper wire.
Complete QoS for service differentiation
The VES-1608FE-57 supports not only 802.1x port-based access control for subscriber authentication, but also defines a limited number of MAC addresses that can access the network from a particular port. With rate limiting on the subscriber ports for services with 64 Kbps increments, service providers are allowed to offer tiered services.
