AD4SMSASPCI, AD4SMSAS-PCI
The Addonics family of SATA -
external mini SAS bridges make implementing the reliable external mini
SAS cabling between system and external SATA storage system easy and
simple. Consists of a system version (for the host) and an enclosure
version (for the device), this family of connector bridges enable
connecting up to four SATA hard drives from an external storage to any
system via a single cable over a distance up to 3 meters with minimal
signal degradation.
The system version easily adds an external mini SAS
connector to any desktop system, server or equipment via a PCI mounting
bracket. With this converter, up to 4 internal SATA/SATA II/SATA III
ports can be set up for external SATA connection via a quick release
external mini SAS cable
The enclosure version is designed to mount easily into Addonics family of Storage Towers, Storage Rack or the standard SCSI I connector opening commonly found on most multi-bay SCSI drive enclosures. This rack mount bridge also supports connecting up to four SATA storage devices to a single external mini SAS connector.
A. System version (model: AD4SMSAS-PCI)
- Converts up to four internal SATA ports to one mini-SAS (SFF-8088) 26-pin connector
- Mounts on a PCI slot opening of a standard height desktop or low profile PC
- The AD4SMSAS-PCI functions as a bridge board to convert
internal SATA ports into a single mini-SAS connection. To convert SATA
hard drives into the mini-SAS connection, use the enclosure version
(model: AD4SMSAS) below.
- Supports High Speed Transfer rate of 6Gbps

B. Enclosure version (model: AD4SMSAS)
- Connects up to four SATA hard drives to one mini-SAS SFF-8088 26-pin connector
- Mounts inside any Addonics Storage Tower or Storage Rack
- Fits multi-bay SCSI drive enclosures via the standard SCSI-I (Centronic 50-pin) opening
- Supports High Speed Transfer rate of 6Gbps
