Introducing the DataCage Basic MB876SK-B, a single 3.5” SATA 6Gbps mobile rack for optical 5.25” bay features our successful EZ-Tray removable tray system. It features a slim, yet durable profile with key lock design and only taking up a single 5.25” optical bay. It is ideal for home and professional server environments requiring hot swap for backups, security and a reliable active cooling solution.
Slim, Strong & Secure
The DataCage Basic MB876SK-B sports an aluminum body for optimal cooling and maximum durability, while fits most standard single 5.25” optical bays for easy implementation. The flat front panel design prevents any interference when using with servers and rackmounts that has a door or cover design with it being flush with the 5.25” housing. Meanwhile, the resilient aluminum latch provides best durability for consistent hot swaps. A sturdy key lock is used in order to keep your precious data safe and secured from accidental drive ejection during operation.

No more bland looking servers. The MB876SK-B provides an elegant looking exterior to showcase your system. It also provides easy to read LED status notification system for your hard drive with both power and activity in green and amber, respectively.
Reliable Cooling Solution
To enhance its cooling efficiency, the multiple front air vents design and full aluminum body increase the passive cooling of the drive. A 40mm warm air outtake fan is built into the rear of the MB876SK-B unit to compliment and ensure that your drive will maintain an optimal temperature, thus increasing the life and dependability of the drive.
Interchangeable Storage
The MB876SK-B uses an interchangeable EZ-Tray compatible with MB45X, MB15X, MB559, and MB561 series. This allows you to continue to use the same trays from these series, or our compatible external 3.5” models without any issues regarding switching to new designs. The EZ-Tray accepts most 3.5” SATA hard drives – particularly, both half height and full height 3.5” hard drives are supported. The EZ-Tray is designed to be easy to install / remove to the device in just two steps – press the release button and pull / push the lever. This allows for easy replacement in case of RAID failure, storage, or transportation of data.
While enclosure is compatible with most standard 3.5’’ SATA I, II & III drives, it is also compatible with 2.5’’ SSD and SATA drives using the optional EZConvert MB882 / MB982 2.5’’ to 3.5’’ HDD Converter series. This allows for convenience and versatility and will save you time and money from having to buy a separate 2.5’’ hard drive enclosure.
