10,000 Lumens XGA Fixed Installation ProjectorPT-DX100EK
Overview
The Panasonic PT-DX100EK XGA Fixed Installation Projector has a powerful optical engine that produces a full 10,000 lumens of brightness for clear, high-quality images even in brightly lit rooms. With a host of user-friendly terminals and advanced management functions to provide highly reliability, hassle-free use, the Panasonic PT-DX100EK projector is ideal for a wide variety of applications, from education and business through to high-quality stage performances.
A Bright 8,500 lm from a Compact Body
Panasonic's original dual-lamp system, with its new highly developed 420 W lamps, has helped to make the body compact while providing a full 10,000 lm of brightness.
New Dynamic Iris for a High 10,000:1 Contrast Ratio1
Panasonic's new Dynamic Iris uses a scene-linking aperture mechanism to achieve a remarkable 10,000:11 contrast without lowering its high brightness. This helps to reproduce deeper, richer blacks, and provides images with more detailed textures.
RGB Booster Significantly Improves Colour Reproduction
The RGB Booster achieves high image quality with levels of colour reproduction and brightness that make each colour stand out. It combines Panasonic's proprietary Vivid Colour Control technology with a newly engineered Lamp Modulation Drive System for a 1-chip DLPâ„¢ projector that produces bright and vivid colours.
Vivid Colour Control
This unique control technology optimizes the use of the colour segment areas of the colour wheel. It increases the brightness of each RGB colour by minimizing the unallocated portions between the colours, to achieve truly vivid colouring.
Lamp Modulation Drive System
With the advanced lamp modulation technology, the projector is able to control the lamp intensity for each of the red, green, blue, and white segments of the colour wheel separately. Because the actual light output is controlled in relation to each colour segment, light usage is optimized and colour balance is obtained without lowering the brightness. This results in bright vivid images with increased colour fidelity.
Detail Clarity Processor Brings Depth and Clarity to Details
This advanced image-processing circuit analyzes the video signal frequency range for each scene by extracting data on the distribution of high, mid, and low-frequency components, and brings out fine details accordingly. The resulting images have a more natural, three-dimensional appearance with crisp, clear detail.
System Daylight View 2 for Enhanced Colour Perception
Image details are less clear when a projector is used in a room with the lights on. Panasonic's System Daylight View 2 improves brightness perception by adjusting sharpness, gamma curves, and colour corrections.
This produces crisper, more stunning images with vivid colours even under bright conditions.
DICOM Simulation Mode
This imaging mode is similar to DICOM part 14, which is a medical imaging standard.
It reproduces X-ray images with remarkable clarity.
Dual-Lamp System Prevents Image Interruptions
Image interruptions reduce the hassle of maintenance. And, as an environmental consideration, the filter can be washed with water and reused.3
The Dual-Lamp System eliminates the need to interrupt a presentation if a lamp should burn out (in dual-lamp operation mode). The Lamp Relay mode also operates the lamps alternately to enable 24/7 projector operation.
Long life contributes to Low TCO
The PT-DX100EK projectors lower the total cost of ownership because they have a lamp replacement cycle of up to 4,000 hours.4
Waveform Monitor Function
When the output level of the source device fluctuates due to the performance of the device or its cable connections, the original black and white levels of the image content cannot be reproduced correctly. With the PT-DX100EK you can view the waveforms on the screen and adjust the settings either automatically or manually as you prefer.
Flexible Installation
The wide adjustment range of the powered horizontal/vertical lens shift function assures convenience and versatility during installation. It lets you easily make adjustments with the remote control.
The unit can also be rotated 360 degrees vertically.
This means you can install it at any angle you want, to accommodate different installation conditions.
A Wide Range of Optional Lenses
Choose from a wide lineup of optional lenses for your system, including short-throw, long-throw zoom and fixed-throw lenses for rear projection use.
The additional lenses make it easy to adapt your projector to the installation site. The lenses attach and detach with one-touch ease.
Lens-centered Design
A lens-centered, symmetrical design provides ease of installation, eliminating the need for any special considerations when planning the installation site.
Active 3D Projection Capability
The series is compatible with both passive and active 3D projection systems. It combines with either a separate, external 100/120/144 Hz drive with IR emitter and active shutter glasses, or an active filter and passive glasses, for viewing 3D images.
Multi-Screen Support System Seamlessly Connects Multiple Screens
The Multi-Screen Support System optimally adjusts multiple screens: Edge blending, colour matching and multi-screen processor.
Edge Blending
The edges of adjacent screens can be blended and their luminance controlled.
Colour Matching
This function corrects for slight variations in the colour reproduction range of individual projectors.
Multi-Screen Processor
The PT-DX100EK can project large, multi-screen images without any additional equipment. Up to 100 units (10 x 10) can be edge-blended at a time.
Multi-Unit Brightness Control
This function automatically corrects the brightness fluctuations that occur over time in the individual projectors of a multi-screen system. A maximum of eight projectors can be controlled by connecting each other via a hub, and this can be increased to a maximum of 2,048 projectors by using "Multi Projector Monitoring & Control Software Ver. 2.
Portrait Mode Capability (optional)5
Portrait projection is possible by mounting the optional ET-LAD120P or ET-LAD120PW lamp units, updating the projector's firmware to MAIN Ver. 2.00 or later, and installing the projector with its terminal side surface facing downward. Portrait mode adds more solutions for projection mapping, staging, and other needs.
DIGITAL LINK - The Single Cable Solution
Equipped with a DIGITAL LINK terminal, the PT-DX100EK allows transmission of HDMI, uncompressed HD digital video, audio and control signals (Ethernet, RS-232C) for up to 100 meters (328 feet) through a single CAT5e (STP) cable or higher. This simplifies cabling and system upgrades, making it ideal for ceiling-mounted and other permanent installations.

Filterless Dust-Resistant Optical Engine
A Heat-Pipe Cooling System Maintains Stable Operation up to 45°C6
A new optical cooling system featuring a heat pipe block suppresses temperature rises inside the projector and allows stable operation up to an ambient temperature of 45°C (113°F). The use of this heat-pipe cooling system also achieves quiet operation, enabling viewers to concentrate on the presentation or on quiet movie scenes.
Dust-Resistant Optical Block
The optical block, the heart of the projector, is hermetically sealed to resist the effects of dust and other particles in the air, which makes it possible to remove the air filters for optics. It also contributes to the low TCO.
Easy Lamp Replacement
For easier maintenance, you can replace the lamp from the rear. This makes it easy to replace a lamp unit while the projector is still in the mounting bracket or dual stacked.
Versatile System Configurations Match a Variety of Applications
The wide-ranging terminals include 2 sets of RGB inputs (compatible with Y/PB/PR signals), an HDMI input, and a DVI-D input. A serial input/output terminal (RS-232C compliant) that allows remote operation from a PC, similar to that of a wireless remote control, and a remote terminal for input switching by contact control and standby ON/OFF operation also make it possible to configure a remote operation system.
Multiple Temrinals with HD-SDI Capability
The PT-DX100EK has an array of terminals, including a DVI-D (HDCP compliant), to support a broad range of projection needs. Using the serial terminal (RS-232C), it is possible to connect and operate AMX and Crestron control systems with ease. In addition, the PT-DX100EK aaccommodates the HD/SD-SDI input signals that are widely used in broadcasting.
Easy Remote Monitoring and Control over a LAN
Web browser on a computer connected through a wired LAN system lets you remotely operate projectors and check their status.
An e-mail messaging function can also notify you when a lamp needs replacement, and indicate the overall projector status.
PJLinkâ„¢ Compatibility
The LAN terminals support PJLinkâ„¢ class 1 connection. Control with the same specifications is also possible when used in a multi-projector system with projectors of another brand.
