Intelligent Image Stabilization
The latest advancement in Canon Optical Image Stabilization technology, Intelligent IS automatically analyses camera movement and applies the best image stabilisation method for the shooting situation. This feature works when shooting still shots as well as video. With Intelligent IS, you can concentrate on image capture, letting the camera make the most effective IS settings to prevent blur.

Smart Auto
Smart Auto automatically detects scenes by assessing various factors in both the background and subject, providing a simple way to get high quality images in all situations. Detected scenes are analysed using a variety of presents that allow the camera to choose optimal settings to ensure the best possible image capture, whether shooting stills or video.

DiG!C 4+ Processor
The camera is equipped with Canon’s fast processor, the DIGIC 4+ Image Processor, which makes several important advancements to image quality both in stills and video. Improved light sensitivity allows for high resolution with less noise when shooting in dark conditions, and Dynamic IS now detects and compensates for tilt and parallel movement (shift blur) to create video that’s exceptionally free of distortion.
