Hardware RAID that works seamlessly between Macs and PCs
A software RAID storage system is unable to overcome the problems
associated with cross-platform usage. It is only through hardware RAID
controller chipsets that users can use these hard drives concurrently in
Mac or Windows computers. With the ST2-BA31’s built in SATA 6G hardware
RAID controller chipset and USB 3.2 Gen 2 host interface, it not only
promise high transmission speed, but also eliminates the cross-platform
usage issues associated with RAID 0 or RAID 1 setups. Also, with
hardware RAID, all data is computed and processed by the built-in CPU.
With such advantages, your computer performance can be focused on
running the software and work, instead of handling the storage device's
transmission issues.
The ST2 support Four RAID modes, can be used for Different Application
The ST2 has four built-in disk configuration modes: RAID 1 (Safe Mode),
RAID 0 (Speed Mode), JBOD (Two Independent Volumes) ,and BIG Mode for
you to choose according to your needs.
The RAID 1 function provides fully automatic backup that ensures data security.
RAID 0 functionality increases storage speed and performance.
JBOD function provides two independent disk data access convenience.
BIG function provides two independent disk capacity added total.
Provide Type-C to C cable and Type-C to A cable
ST2-BA31 is equipped with RAID 0/1/BIG/JBOD modes, users can use the
Type-C to C cable or the Type-C to A cable to connect to any host PC or
Mac with USB Type-C or USB Type-A, and the data transfer performance can
be up to 10Gbps. Whether it isused for searching files, editing photos
or watching the 4K high resolution videos, ST2-BA31 will bring you the
extremely enjoyment of video and audio quality.
ST2 support both 3.5" and 2.5" disks (HDD &SD)
Comes with two easy-to-use disk Trays, ST2 supports 3.5" &.5" SATA
disks (HDD and SSD). And ST2's aluminum chassis help protecting your
data and the excellent heat dissipation. Since this easy-to-use disk
Tray can be used for all STARDOM's products, you could easily transfer
your data (disks) among different STARDOM's storage devices. With the
key lock design, it could provide a double protection for your data.
LED Indicator for Disk Status Display
ST2-BA31 provides the LED indicator for disk status display. When
data accessing, the LED will flash light on, it allows user to
understand the data access status quickly.
Low noise Fan, with manual fan speed control switch
The new ST2-BA31 has a built-in low-noise fan, to allows the device
to quickly dissipate heat without affecting the transmission
perofrmance.
Rugged aluminum chassis design with high quality and fast heat dissipation
ST2-BA31's solid chassis is made by a thickness aluminum-alloy plate
which can withstand greater impact than ordinary aluminum shell
products, and it can really protect your hard disk and cope with various
usage conditions. And its aluminum housing really help an efficient

Raid 1 Mode, use with Server to backup the important data
You can also use the Type-C to C cable or the Type-C to A cable to
connect to a Server device with a Type-C or Type-A interface. Using RAID
1 mode, the ST2-BA31 can be easily expand to be a personal storage
center. Users do not need to worry about the hard drive damaged to lost
the important data, and can achieve comprehensive data backup.
RAID 0 mode, complete various photo editing quickly
ST2-BA31 has an ultra-fast Type-C to C cable and Type-C to A cable.
Users can connect ST2-BA31 to any host device that has USB Type-C to C
interface or USB Type-C to A interface. Using RAID 0 mode, the ST2-BA31
can be created an entire photography studio to import or backup
thousands of RAW images at any time, and help users to complete various
photo editing quickly.
