This dual input design connects to a solar panel and your cars alternator (12 or 24V) to provide 3 stage charging for secondary batteries such as those used in campers, caravans and trades service vans/trailers. It is compatible with the latest smart alternators and start/stop systems found in modern vehicles. A unique vibration activation sensor simplifies wiring so that it wont void vehicle warranty (see 'charging modes' below). Suitable for Lead Acid, AGM and Lithium Fe PO4 batteries. The built in solar charge controller utilises Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technology which boosts the PV power from your 12V solar panels ensuring you get optimum charging performance.

Charging Modes
There are 3 alternator charging modes available, Factory Preset Mode, Ignition Feed Mode and Vibration Sensor Mode.

Factory Preset Mode:This is the chargers default mode. Both ignition control and vibration sensor are deactivated and the charger will begin operation once output and inputs are connected and set up. This mode will limit the input voltage range to protect over discharge of the vehicles battery. This mode is not recommended for modern vehicles.

Ignition Feed Mode:This mode requires wiring connection to the cars electrical system and charger will operate only when the vehicles ignition is switched to the ON position. This mode is suitable for use with constant voltage alternators, smart alternators, start/stop systems and vehicles with regenerative braking.

Vibration Sensor:The built-in vibration sensor makes it possible to use the charger by just connecting to the starter battery terminal without touching the vehicle electrical/ electronic wiring. In this mode the charger detects when the vehicle has started or is moving on the road. The charger will then activate. This mode is suitable for use with constant voltage alternators, smart alternators, start/stop systems and vehicles with regenerative braking.
